2016 Spring Convention

2016 Spring Convention in St. George has an excellent line-up of diverse speakers and topics impacting racial and ethnic minorities. We strongly encourage UMBA members to attend as a show of support for the new inclusive programming, which we would like to be repeated at future conventions.

We particularly encourage young lawyers to attend (Active Under 3 is only $155 for up to 10 hours of CLE credit. That is about $15/per hour of CLE. Quite a deal!) so that you can take advantage of the excellent networking and outdoor activities. UMBA will circulate requests for carpooling and lodging closer to the date of the event.

Register through your Utah State Bar account.

2015 Scholarship & Awards Banquet

The Utah Minority Bar Association invites you to attend the 2015 UMBA Scholarship and Awards Banquet. This year we are excited to partner with the Utah State Bar Fall Forum Convention. Last year, we awarded approximately $38,000 in student scholarships. We would like to raise the bar in 2015.

Tickets/tables are available for purchase. Donations can be made simultaneously.

Please consider making a donation even if you are unable to attend, as scholarship winners are given the opportunity to participate in the Pipeline Mentorship program sponsored by Holland & Hart. Having more scholarship winners will result in more opportunities for mentorship -- thereby having a greater impact on the future of our legal community and profession.

Thank you for your commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Sincerely,

Michelle Kennedy
