Past Award Winners

Each year, law students at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University apply to receive student scholarships ranging from $500 to $6,950. Scholarships are awarded based on an application and an essay. Scholarship winners are also assigned a lawyer mentor through our UMBA Pipeline Program.*

In 2015, UMBA awarded over $38,000 in scholarships based on students' academic achievement, record of service to racial and ethnic communities, and potential to positively impact and represent Utah's racial and ethnic communities in their future legal career.
